Privacy policy

The short version
Jonesy is free. There are no ads, no tracking, no analytics shared with anyone, and we never sell or share data.
Jonesy uses pretend money only. No real money, bank accounts or payment cards are ever involved.
What we collect
Parents: an email address and password to sign in, plus a family name.
Kids: a username and a 6-digit PIN chosen by a parent. We never ask for a kid's email, real name, birthday, photo, location or contacts. The PIN is stored the same way as a password, so no one at Jonesy can read it.
App activity: the chores, rewards, goals, budgets, pretend investments, loans, lesson results and history your family creates in the app.
How we use it
Only to run the app for your family: showing balances, approvals, lessons and progress. Nothing else.
Who can see it
Parents in a family can see their kids' activity. Kids can see only their own. Nobody outside your family can see your data.
We do not use advertising networks, third-party trackers or data brokers.
Kids' privacy
A parent creates each kid account and gives permission for it. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category rules.
Where it's stored
Data is stored on secure cloud servers and sent over encrypted (https) connections.
Deleting your data
A parent can delete everything themselves, right in the app. On the Kids page, next to any kid, there is a Delete account button. In Family settings there is a Delete family account button that removes the family, both parents and every kid.
Both ask you to type a confirmation, and both erase the records for good — wallet history, goals, budgets, investments, loans, claims and lessons. No copy is kept.
If you'd rather ask first, email privacy@jonesy.si and we'll do it for you.
